Between the phone and the camera
Unless stated, all photographs on these pages were made with an iPhone. I am not entirely comfortable with using a phone-camera, so I tend to snap whatever I come across. I try to get creative but… I prefer to use my DSLR.
Rubble, Ruins and Abandoned Places: Number 1
I developed an interest in ruins during a visit to Istanbul several years ago. My last visit to that city, ostensibly to attend the 2019 Biennale was a disaster, and infinitely forgettable. I did not get to visit any of the places that I like. I was barely able to explain the history and significance…
Not to put too fine a point…
Cafés and Kopitiam: Andalus Kitchen
This series is from Andalus Kitchen. Lorong Jambatan, Kampung Jawa, Melaka, Malaysia. Most of the pictures under the rubric, Cafés and Kopitiam, are very randomly made with an iPhone. There is, therefore, nothing exceptional about them. The more “serious” pictures will be noted, and placed elsewhere.
